L.E.A.G.U.E. Grants announced in March 2010
Each year, the LLCC Foundation accepts applications for grants made possible from generous gifts of LLCC faculty and staff to the L.E.A.G.U.E. (Leaders Establishing Annual Gifts Underwriting Education) campaign.
Grant awards will be announced at the kickoff for the 2010 campaign, March 23, 2010.
These grants help to advance educational excellence at Lincoln Land Community College.
Since LEAGUE began, hundreds of thousands of dollars has been returned to the college in faculty/staff grants and scholarships.
Departments receiving grants from last year's LEAGUE funds included:
-
Business & Technologies – To purchase a sound system for the LLCC Culinary Arts lab.
-
Business & Technologies - To purchase 40 sound limiting ear muffs for the Computer Flex Center
-
Math and Sciences - To purchase a motion camera to enhance the recently awarded Weather Bug Weather Station.
-
C.N.A. Program - To purchase three sets of Adult Sani-Minikins (face and lung shields)
Nearly 40 percent of LLCC faculty and staff give annually to the LLCC Foundation.
Eligibility

- Guest speaker fees
(Note: Requesting department would be responsible for the speaker’s travel expenses including hotel, airfare, meals, and other related items.)
- Resources to improve and enhance the learning environment including DVDs, microscopes, digital and video cameras, maps, printers, scanners, projectors, proximas and more.
At this time, the Foundation does not fund travel or salaries.
