Master Teacher Selection Process

Students, alumni, department chairs, faculty members, retirees, colleagues and staff members are all eligible to place a name into nomination.

Any LLCC full-time faculty member can be nominated.  After the nomination deadline, all nominees are notified by the Foundation office and asked to complete a nominee application.

A committee of LLCC students, Foundation board members, LLCC alumni, donors and community leaders will review the candidates’ applications, select five finalists to be interviewed and make the final selection.  LLCC faculty and staff will not serve on the committee.

The award recipient is announced at the college’s annual faculty and staff recognition awards ceremony in May.

All purchases from the award are properties of the LLCC Foundation.
